Brownsville Free Public Library is the public library of Brownsville Borough in Fayette County, southwestern Pennsylvania. Founded in 1885, the library spent its early decades in temporary quarters before finding a permanent home at 100 Seneca Street in 1927 — a building that has served the community for nearly a century. Today the library holds close to 19,000 items including books, over 1,600 DVDs and 20 magazine titles, and circulates more than 10,600 items per year to a service population of roughly 15,000 residents.
