The Coconut Grove Branch Library is the Miami-Dade Public Library System's branch for Coconut Grove, Miami's oldest continuously inhabited neighborhood — annexed by the city in 1925 after decades as an independent community. The branch site holds a Miami-Dade County historic designation: the grave of Eva Amelia Hewitt Munroe, wife of author and Coconut Grove pioneer Kirk Munroe, who were among the settlement's earliest residents in the 1880s.
